A Celebration of Aero STEM Learning, Inspiration, and Young Minds

The AeroCarnival, held at Juniper Clubhouse, Brigade Orchards, Devanahalli, concluded on a high note, marking a memorable milestone in community-driven Aero STEM education. The day-long event brought together students, educators, parents, volunteers, and distinguished leaders from India’s aerospace and defence ecosystem to celebrate learning through curiosity, creativity, and hands-on exploration.

A Prestigious Inauguration

The event was inaugurated in the presence of eminent dignitaries whose contributions have shaped India’s aerospace and defence journey. The Chief Guest, Lieutenant General (Dr.) V. J. Sundaram, former Director of the Pruthvi Missile Development Programme, graced the occasion and inspired the audience with his presence and legacy of national service.

Joining him were Prof. K. P. J. Reddy, Distinguished Professor from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and globally renowned for the development of the Reddy Tube—a landmark innovation in shock tube research; Air Marshal B. R. Krishna, retired from the Indian Air Force, whose career exemplifies leadership and excellence in aviation; and Dr. G. Ramesh, Chief Scientist in Aerodynamics from the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), whose work continues to advance India’s aerospace research capabilities.

The ceremonial lamp lighting and invocation set an auspicious tone for the day, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and the spirit of learning.

Learning by Doing

Designed as an immersive Aero STEM learning carnival, AeroCarnival offered students a unique opportunity to experience aerospace concepts beyond textbooks. The structured agenda included interactive learning sessions followed by multiple hands-on workshops, enabling participants to actively engage with principles of flight, aerodynamics, and technology.

Students enthusiastically participated in activities such as:

• Building and experimenting with aero models
• Drone-related hands-on sessions
• Glider-based learning experiences
